Literator Lit"er*a`tor (l[i^]t"[~e]r*[=a]`t[~e]r), n. [L. litterator, literator. See {Letter}.] 1. One who teaches the letters or elements of knowledge; a petty schoolmaster. --Burke. [1913 Webster]

2. A person devoted to the study of literary trifles, esp. trifles belonging to the literature of a former age. [1913 Webster]
