Munificent Mu*nif"i*cent, a. [L. munificus; munus service, gift + -ficare (in comp.) to make. Cf. {Immunity}, {-fy}.] Very liberal in giving or bestowing; lavish; as, a munificent benefactor. -- {Mu*nif"i*cent*ly}, adv.
