Palace Pal"ace (p[a^]l"[asl]s; 48), n. [OE. palais, F. palais, fr. L. palatium, fr. Palatium, one of the seven hills of Rome, on which Augustus had his residence. Cf. {Paladin}.] [1913 Webster] 1.
