Prime Prime, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Primed}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Priming}.] [From {Prime}, a.] 1. To apply priming to, as a musket or a cannon; to apply a primer to, as a metallic cartridge. [1913 Webster]
