Canting Cant"ing, a. Speaking in a whining tone of voice; using technical or religious terms affectedly; affectedly pious; as, a canting rogue; a canting tone. -- {Cant"ing*ly}, adv. -- {Cant"ing*ness}, n. [1913 Webster]
