Alembroth A*lem"broth (-br[o^]th), n. [Origin uncertain.] The {salt of wisdom} of the alchemists, a double salt composed of the chlorides of ammonium and mercury. It was formerly used as a stimulant. --Brande & C. [1913 Webster]
