Dictionary Dic"tion*a*ry, n.; pl. {Dictionaries}. [Cf. F. dictionnaire. See {Diction}.] 1. A book containing the words of a language, arranged alphabetically, with explanations of their meanings; a lexicon; a vocabulary; a wordbook. [1913 Webster]
