{Amyloid degeneration} (Med.), a diseased condition of various organs of the body, produced by the deposit of an albuminous substance, giving a blue color with iodine and sulphuric acid; -- called also {waxy degeneration} or {lardaceous degeneration}. [1913 Webster]
