Gibbous Gib"bous, a. [Cf. F. gibbeux. See {Gibbose}.] [1913 Webster] 1. Swelling by a regular curve or surface; protuberant; convex; as, the moon is gibbous between the half-moon and the full moon. [1913 Webster]
