Philosopher Phi*los"o*pher, n. [OE. philosophre, F. philosophe, L. philosophus, Gr. ?; ? loving + ? wise. Cf. {Philosophy}.] 1. One who philosophizes; one versed in, or devoted to, philosophy. [1913 Webster]
