{Bernicle goose} (Zo["o]l.), a goose ({Branta leucopsis}), of Arctic Europe and America. It was formerly believed that it hatched from the cirripeds of the sea ({Lepas}), which were, therefore, called barnacles, goose barnacles, or Anatifers.
